Success principles ~ Self Discipline
79Discipline
Consider the outcome of this idea...
What would happen if you are a student and set your goal in public that
you will score 100% in your Mathematics exam and promised to do
whatever you can do for reaching that goal. And a camera crew will be
following you 24 hours a day 7 days a week for the next 100 days while
you went for your goals?
I bet 3 things would happen....
1 You would STOP doing the things you know you shouldn't be doing.
2 You would START doing the things you say you need to do.
3 You would MAKE monumental performance gains and change your life.
This is ALL possible through the discipline of accountability.
The problem however is that the lack of accountability is one of the
biggest constraints you have which prevents goal achievement.
Accountability serves and protects your character, credibility and
commitments as it ensures that what you want to accomplish gets
accomplished.
You see, throughout every area of your life it's important to
acknowledge that ALL unfinished goals, projects and relationships are
the result of broken promises, unfulfilled commitments, and lack of
accountability.
Success principles ~ Self Discipline
Why do some people make more money, accomplish more and live a happier lives than the average people.
Everyone want success, every one want more money, every one want
attention and appreciation. But very few are able to get that. If you
want to accomplish anything in the life, you need to discipline
yourself. Many years ago Thomas Huxley said the the secret of the success principle, that is 'Do what you should do, when you should do it, whether you feel like it or not.'
If you study all the success principles that are introduced in the world and set out to achieve success in life, but do not have self discipline, all your efforts would be a waste of time.
Michael Gulliver said "an individual who is active in higher learning
soon becomes an individual active in higher earning." without
self-discipline you cannot be an active in learning. If you are not
learning, you are not earning.
I am posting a link which will tell you what is the cost of the lack of
self discipline. Especially read the part under the heading Discipline shows in your paychecks in the first link
Thanks & Blessings

Great hub, perseverance and self discipline are the keys to success.
Thanks for the fresh motivation. As a writer, working alone, discipline is the key. I write every day and sometimes it's simply forcing myself to work. Fortunately, most days it's a pleasure. The hard days are what will make the difference between my continued success or failure, nothing worth having is free.
Two thoughts on your motivating hub: Never stop learning. Be a "professional student". And be aware that temptation, like opportunity, is not only knocking on your door; it mey be leaning on your doorbell.
I believe the best self discipline is to master your habits.
Have you ever considered just how much an affect your habits have over you and what you do?
Self Discipline is not always easy and first we must recognize we need it. Thanks for writing a good hub.

Discipline is essential to any success, in Biblical terms "You reap what you sow".
In simple terms you are what you put into anything.
Great Hub and one worthy of making note of.
