What is the purpose of my life?
77Purpose of life
All of the self help books suggests that in order lead a successful, happy,
prosperous and fulfilling life you need to first find out your purpose
of life. Then follow that purpose. Set goals and never give up.
Constantly follow that purpose. But what is the purpose of your life?
Many ask this question and try to find out the purpose of their life.
Self help books suggest that doing the thing which you like, which
give you happiness is the purpose of your life. Really! Is that the
purpose of our life? Some times we focus on something and we run after
it. Over the years, we loose interest in that thing. Then we find
some other things which give us more happiness, which we like to
do. That too, over the time, become very tedious and boring. Then what is that which give us lasting happiness?
A life without purpose
What is the purpose of our life. Purpose comes from our origin. To find out the true purpose we need to know our origin and creator. Who brought us to this world? and For what purpose he brought us? Many believe that we come to this earth by random chance. They believe that by the explosion happened in the milky way, many million years ago, or through random chance we came into existence. If it is like that, then there is no purpose for our life. If there is no purpose then there is no reason to live. Then our life is meaning less and there is no hope. It is a chance and we cease to exist after our death. These people look for their forefathers in the animal kingdom. Some believe that monkeys are the forefathers of human beings. If you believe that, then there is no purpose for your life.
Find out your purpose of life
On the other hand Word of God says that God created the earth and
everything in it. Then he created human being. Adam never looked for
a place to live. God knew that Adam need a place to live and created a
beautiful garden for man before He created Adam. Adam never asked for
a companion. God found it necessary that man need a companion. If God
created us, and the world around us, then He has a purpose for it. God
has a purpose for me and you. That is why we are here on this earth.
God created us. We need to find out the purpose of God. Then live the
life of that purpose. That is the true purpose of our life.
The greatest mistake of human being is that he tried to find out his
own purpose, without recognizing the purpose of God. He found a
purpose which is entirely different from the purpose of his creator.
There starts conflicts between the purpose of God and men. Many times
we tempt to adopt what seems or feels better to us as our purpose of
life.

What is the true purpose of our life
The true purpose of our life is to know God and lead a life that
pleases God. God loved to have fellowship with Adam and Eve. That is
what God want from us. Our fellowship. Our worship. And our
Acknowledging Him and His work. Knowing that we are his handy work and
creation. We are his creation. Around us we can see and feel His
creation. We enjoy his Creation. When we know His purpose all our
other purpose of life go away. The scale we use to measure our success
will change. Then we understand that our running after for material
things, wealth or worldly things are not the true purpose of our life.
It will slowdown our life.
Our life is filled with many things. We have to do many thing every
day. We are like a spinning wheel. Running around with high speed on
its axis. When we realize our true purpose, we can stop our run. Take
breath and live a life that is purposeful. Our purpose is not gaining
more money. Not creating a legacy. Worshiping God and knowing God
will give you peace and happiness. You will find new dimensions and
meaning of life. Experience God! God will help you to go through the
depths and heights of your life. That would be a wonderful journey.
What God want from us? What is His expectation? How He loved us?
These are the some questions we need to think over. Answer to these
questions will give us more clarity to lead a purposeful life. Knowing
God and his likes and dislikes will help you to lead a better life. The
best way to know God we need to read the word of God. Read it, as much
as you can. It will give you new meaning to your life.

One of the mysteries of life is that the purpose of life changes with the change of time and circumstances.
The purpose of life has nothing to do with a mystical figure drummed up by the imaginations of others. As for one of your commenters comments- your purpose isn't restricted to one thing, much less changes. A purpose for your life is a complete makeup of actions you do that provide meaning to your life, while you're alive. These different purposes are for YOU to figure out, because you are the only one in control of your life.
The true purpose of life- should be something you want to do and should not be determined by any other source.
Herein lies the problem. There are umpteen billions of lifestyles, personal situations and aspects of life to consider, especially in our modern, hectic lives. How can anyone truly find the real purpose of their current life without experiencing everything available to them in the world and then deciding.
Interesting. I know one person who spends life WATCHING TV all day. This person clearly has NO purpose
the purpose of life is what God has predetermine for us from before the foundation of this world. God said seek he first the kingdom of God and everything else shall be added unto you, in other words do His will/purpose and He will look about you and do your business for you.
Good hub.
You are inspiring the Hubbers! Good work. Thanks for your meaningful words.
One's "purpose" in life is personal. Each of us are unique. If "religion" satisfies and defines your purpose, so be it. Not bad, not good; just is... If it ain't broken, do not fix it!
Great work.
nice one ,loved it
Those who are truly remembered give of themselves to others. Life should have greater purpose than just satisfying our own personal wants and desires. Eternity is forever! Excellent hub!
I agree with you totally. One of my goals this year is to read the Bible chapter by chapter, verse by verse. How can I call myself a Christian and not at least read the word?
Even at my 50 + years I still wonder what my purpose is, but I've learn to be patient and wait for the word of God. Excellent word.
Nice hub,I feel we have many purposes in life, you will not accomplish all at the same time.
If you are blessed w/children your purpose would be to raise them and once you have done that you still have purpose just a different one.
You should forever evolve into something a little better than you are.
Purpose I guess always be open to growth and accepting new things.
Hi jacobkuttyta, well.. what a great hub. I share your faith and convictions as well. it is interesting to read the thoughts of others as expressed through their comments. I guess for me, it seems some of the above comments suggest that "one's life purpose"(if I can qualify it that way) flows from the things we might "do" in life that gives purpose and there will change as our life changes. However, it seems to me that you are suggesting that "one's life purpose" is more about "being"... human beings rather than human doings.
cheers Dags the Drover
For those who say they find their purpose outside of the purpose of God I pose this question...what if your neighbor deems his "purpose" is to possess what is yours or even worse to harm you? Without a morality that comes from God, as apposed to one set arbitrarily by man, why would that be inherently wrong? I'm not asking why wouldn't it be "nice", but rather, why would it be wrong?
Your questions at the end of your hub gives me much food for thought but you also provided the perfect answer: Get to know God. I enjoyed reading your hub. Thank you for sharing.
Jacobkuttya, BEAUTIFUL inspiring words of wisdom! You have well stated:"The true purpose of our life is to know God and lead a life that pleases God!" AMEN!
God is our Creator and Maker outside of Him life is futile and useless... Thank God for Jesus Christ, HIS WORD & HIS precious Holy Spirit!
I agree again, as you so powerfully stated here:
"Worshiping God and knowing God will give you peace and happiness. You will find new dimensions and meaning of life. Experience God! God will help you to go through the depths and heights of your life. That would be a wonderful journey." Amen! & AMEN!
Thank you for sharing this marvelous Truth! In HIS Love, Grace, Joy, Peace & Blessings!
